their activities and customizing the day to day agenda.
Whether your want a three days to see Alaska or nine, Alaskan Van
Tours is happy to accommodate you. Catching
ferries and going to some more secluded spots will allow you to get
firsthand knowledge of Alaskan heritage.
Bring your vacation mindset and try to leave the cell phones
and computers at home; however, we understand if you can’t.
Please advise us of any allergies, medications, or allergic
reactions you might have prior to trip departure.

This tour includes
2-8 nights of fabulous hotel or lodge accommodations.
If you choose to include meals breakfast and lunch will be provided by the hotel,
lodge, or Alaskan Van Tours. Vouchers for dinners will be sent
out with your conformation package giving a variety of restaurants
to choose from in each town.
All transportation is done in a private 15 passenger van and
the Alaska Railroad.
Your experienced local Alaskan guide will be there for your
support and well being, as well as to help you with day to day
decisions and complications that may arise.
Take the advantage of asking questions and getting answers on
the spot.

Activities
and Agenda
We offer a variety of activities. If any
certain day doesn’t interest you ask about customizing your tour and
subbing in a different activity. For example: If the tour calls for
whale watching and you would rather go Halibut fishing, ask about
changing activities.
We

Short Itinerary
Day One
Anchorage- Drive to Homer
making several scenic stops including Beluga Point, Indian Valley
Gold Panning, Six mile river overlook, lunch in Soldotna and then
visit the Pratt museum.Overnight in Homer.
Day Two
Homer- Go on a Whale watching
Wildlife Cruise with a stop in Soldovia for lunch. Overnight in
Homer.
Day Three
Homer- Stop by the Carl E.
Wynn Nature Center, eat lunch and then drive to Seward. Spend the
afternoon at the Alaska Sea Life Center. Overnight in Seward.

Day Four
Seward- Go on a ride through
the woods on a custom wheeled dog sled at Mitch Seavey’s Iditarod
Racing Kennel. Enjoy the company of a Glacial Naturalist at Exit
Glacier. Overnight in Seward.
Day Five
Seward- Visit the Big Game
Wildlife Refuge on your way to Girdwood (Alyeska Ski Resort). Eat
lunch at the top of the ski tram. Then stroll around town for the
afternoon. End your tour in Anchorage.

Detailed Itinerary
Pre-Day
After your scenic flight into Anchorage, catch the free airport
shuttle and enjoy a nice, quiet night relaxing in the hot tub at the
Hotel of your choice. Get
a good night sleep for a full day of adventure starting at 8:00am.

Day One
Anchorage-Homer
– After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel. Climb
into one of our private vehicles having your questions answered on
the spot through out your entire stay in Alaska. Enjoy several
scenic stops along the Seward Highway including Beluga Point, Indian
Valley Gold Panning, Six Mile River overlook, Soldotna (lunch), and
the Pratt Museum in Homer. Over night in Homer.
Day 1 Total--
Day Two
Homer-
After a hot breakfast be driven to the docks for a Whale
Watching Wildlife Cruise. Bring your camera, binoculars and warm
cloths. Leave at 10:15 a.m. and return 5:00 p.m. with a stop for
lunch in Soldovia. Over night in Homer.
Day 2 Total-
Day Three
Homer- Seward-
Shortly after breakfast we’ll drive to the
Carl E. Wynn Nature Center where you will explore trails over
gentle terrain; see fields of wildflowers, spruce forests, lichens,
mosses, and mushrooms. Eat lunch then drive to Seward and visit the
Seward Sea Life Center's
rehabilitation facility for seals, sea lions, puffin, octopus, and
many other species. Over night in Seward.

Day Four
Seward-
This morning after breakfast drive to Mitch
Seavey’s Iditarod Racing Kennel. Visit with 60 Alaskan sled
dogs then climb onto a custom
wheeled dog sled for a ride through the woods. After lunch join a
glacier naturalist on a half mile walk and experience dramatic
close up views of the active Exit Glacier. Over night
in Seward.
Day 4 Total-
Day Five
Seward-
Drive North to the Big Game Wildlife Refuge;
see orphaned black bear cubs, moose, caribou, and grizzly bears.
Ride up the Ski Tram at the Alyeska Mountain Resort. Eat
lunch then go on a walk through town and visit a waterfall only some
locals know about. Overnight in Girdwood or drive to Anchorage to
end your tour.
Day 5 Total--

Day Six
Girdwood-
After breakfast travel to the
Matanuska Valley
and stop at a real Reindeer Farm. Next right down the street
is Wolf Country USA where you can observe 40 plus wolves.
Enjoy lunch at Lake Lucil then drive north to stay in the
Talkeetna Lodge or go back to Anchorage to end your tour.

Day Seven
Talkeetna-
Take a River Boat Safari up the Susitna
River with spectacular views of the South side of Denali. Enjoy an
hour to visit some of the historic buildings Talkeenta has to offer.
Ride the Alaska Railroad North to Denali for more adventure and fun
or drive South to Anchorage to end your tour.
Day 7 Total

Day Eight
Denali-
Tour 20 miles into Denali National
Park on the
Tundra Wildlife
Tour and view Mt. McKinley surrounded by vast
aura. Where wildlife is undisturbed, natural, and unthreatened.
Watch bears cross the road, moose gallop in the fields, and eagles
soar through the swift mountain breeze. This afternoon go to the
historic Northern Lights Theatre for a view on the Aurora
Borealis. Overnight in Denali or back to Anchorage via Alaska
Railroad to end your tour.
Day 8 Total-

Day Nine
Denali-
This morning go on a gental float down the
historic Nenanna River with more opportunity to see wildlife in
their natural environment. Catch the Alaska Railroad to Talkeetna
then ride with Alaskan Van Tours to Anchorage to end your trip.

Transportation
Any time your itinerary says "Drive" it is
done in one of our private vehicles. Drive time varies, however the
longest you will be in motion is 45 minutes at a time with the
exception of the Alaska Railroad.
Guides
There will always be an Alaskan Van Tours
representative available to assist you with any questions or
complications that may arise during the course of your stay in
Alaska. We put customer satisfaction first.
Hotels
The hotel chains we use vary from 3-5 star
quality depending on availability. With large groups 8 or more, the
rate may drop considerably. Houses are also an alternative for such
groups. All tours are based on a double occupancy.
